Style From Your Heart. There’s No Right & Wrong Way.
Create a mood/ theme for your guests to experience. Whether it’s causal or elegant, rustic, boho chic. Let the theme guide your decor choices.

I don’t always use tablecloths, sometimes I use them for layering and then at other times I enjoy showing off the beauty of the raw wooden table which adds texture to the table scape.
Similarly, you can also use placemats or a runner or all 3.

Tableware- feel free to mix and match what you have at your disposal. I prefer to stay away from the hard n fast rules when being creative. It adds character and charm in my opinion.

I love flowers. Particularly Lillie’s, hydrangeas and eucalyptus. They add an element that appeals to our smell. Candles are also another fav of mine (Russell is not keen on the candles, but I absolutely love the energy n feeling of lit candles around the home)

Napkins napkins napkins, my passion. This excites me so much. Even if you only had a plain white / solid colour table cloth, napkins bring it all together for me. The colours, the folding styles , the fabric textures, its history - completes each place setting for me.

Personal touches- do whatever you like with this. Menu cards, name cards, favors, handwritten or otherwise. All to your liking.

Seasonal decor- pumpkins, eucalyptus branches, dried flowers, fern leaves, banana leaves. Whatever your heart desires that would compliment your theme. This is your expression at your table, and your guests experience. So enjoy !

Balance and symmetry- florals, candles not too high so that guests are unable to communicate with each. Ensure it’s pleasing and visual.

The most important thing is creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for your guests. The personal touches would be cherished and appreciated. And don’t be afraid to let your creativity shine through your table styling.
